The Reveal Brief
When premiering a revolutionary new EV lineup, a traditional stage video falls short. BYD required a high-energy reveal sequence that would command the room, captivate global press, and translate seamlessly to viral social footage. The objective was to make the physical car appear to break through the LED screen barrier through true forced-perspective anamorphic 3D.
Aerodynamic Simulation & Computational CGI
Our 3D motion designers built ultra-detailed CAD digital twins of the vehicle. We simulated supersonic wind-tunnel aerodynamic particle flows, kinetic battery energy pulses, and crystalline light refractions across the vehicle's body lines. Every lighting angle in the CGI was calibrated to mirror the actual physical truss lighting on stage.
The Anamorphic Climax
As the keynote reached its crescendo, the digital vehicle on the giant screen powered toward the audience, seemingly smashing through the glass screen boundary. At the exact millisecond of impact, physical CO2 cryo jets fired, strobes flashed, and the actual vehicle drove onto the center stage turntable — leaving the audience stunned.
